On our first Saturday in San Miguel, our hosts, Steve and Kim, invite us to a musical gathering/fiesta hosted by one of their friends. Upon arrival, Bryce and I are amazed at how musical everyone is. Everyone has an instrument and is contributing to the music in some way; some play djembes, others play tambourines, but the most eccentric instrument was either the sarode (played by a very talented party guest) or a guiro carved out of an animal femur.
